Why "buy time" is sometimes the fastest money

If the bill can move, a hardship arrangement or payment plan costs nothing and can be sorted in a single call. Energy retailers, telcos and lenders all have hardship processes, and the ATO offers payment plans for many debts. Our guide to hardship arrangements covers the scripts, and the fastest ways to get money ranks every option honestly.

When a loan is the quickest route

When the deadline can't move — a settlement date, a builder who'll down tools, a tax debt heading for enforcement — a properly matched loan is usually the cleanest fix. Speed comes from three things: security, documents and a clear purpose. The Tomorrow-o-meter shows how ready you are on each.

Whichever route the quiz shows, the enquiry is the same 60 seconds, with no credit check when you first enquire. Your details stay with one team instead of being passed around, and a real person rings you back. Answer accurately so the first option you hear is the right one. Start my enquiry →

Speed quiz FAQ

How does the speed quiz decide my route?

It follows the same logic a lending specialist uses on the first call: what the money is for, whether there's property, how much, the credit picture and how fixed the deadline is. It then points you to the route that's usually quickest for that combination.

Is the result a recommendation to borrow?

No. Sometimes the fastest move isn't a loan at all — a hardship arrangement or payment plan can buy you time for free. The quiz will tell you when that's worth trying first.

Will the quiz check my credit?

No. Nothing is stored or sent. And when you do enquire, there's no credit check when you first enquire.

What if my situation is more complicated?

Most are. Use the result as a starting point and tell us the full story on the enquiry form — a real person will work through it with you.
